To my brother Tim for making it to Hollywood on American Idol. 

He was on TV on 1/23/07 (the Memphis auditions).

2/2:  Tim was on Soft Rock 100.7 and then Cat Country 96.1.  He took calls from listeners and sang a few clips.

2/12:  B104 threw a party for Tim at Starter's Riverport.  Tim serenaded the VIP crowd with 3 songs.  Fox 29 (Philly), WFMZ, Morning Call, and Express Times were there covering the event for the media.

2/14:  After watching IDOL this evening, it is official, Tim was cut in Hollywood.  It was a little disheartening that even though he made it to Hollywood (one of 172 out of the 100,000+ that auditioned in cities across the country), Tim did not get any additional face time.  But like Tim said himself, "It's TV."  Since I am his older brother I have to say a few things...  First I, along with a ton of people, are very proud of Tim and how far he did get.  I know that he will keep singing with his band (Shake, Rattle & Soul) and always look additional opportunities to get his name (and his talent) out there.  I once heard a famous musician comment about the industry...  "getting into the music industry is more like running a marathon and not a sprint!"  Well, Tim in high school was a Cross Country runner and he lettered in that sport, much like he is earning his letter in this industry! 

Mark my words, you have not heard the last of Tim Marchetto!
